After 4 weeks off due to another lockdown, we were keen to get back playing and put an end to our 2 games without a win. Coming up against another South Bristol side, who have a strong club setup.

1st half was a back and forth affair, after 10 minutes we took the lead, Matt Wood with a dangerous run causing a foul on the edge of the penalty box, then placing the free kick in the bottom corner, 1-0. However, Wessex dominated the 1st 35 minutes, pressing us at every opportunity, taking advantage of our un-organisation in a new formation and equalising in the 28th minute, 1-1. Also, Drew Clark with the save of the season so far, keeping out a Wessex with a top bins effort, stopping them take a 2-1 lead. Formation was adjusted and we seen out a close 1st half.

2nd half, formation/instructions were completely changed. Chances for both teams throughout the half, but this was a much stronger and controlled half from us. Defence splitting ball from Josh Brunt in the 84th minute put through Matt Wood, scoring his 16th goal of the season with a smart finish across the keeper. 2-1.

Overall a very close game against strong opposition. Great fight shown from everyone to stay in a game which could of gone either way and walk away with 3 points!
